Living at Lakeside Apartments feels like a retreat without giving up convenience. The community is nestled in lush woodlands beside a stunning 12-acre lake with a white sand beach and breathtaking mountain views, creating a serene, resort-style atmosphere that residents truly love. Despite the peaceful setting, Lakeside is just minutes from historic downtown Charlottesville, University of Virginia, and Martha Jefferson Hospital, and is within walking distance of Wegmans and the shops, coffee spots, and restaurants at 5th Street Station.

Lakeside is a pet-friendly, non-undergrad community with an expanded dog park and a scenic 1.3-mile walking trail that follows the perimeter of the lake, making it easy to enjoy the outdoors with your pets. Residents also enjoy an exceptional collection of amenities, including a beautifully appointed clubhouse, resort-style pool, hot tub, white sand beach, fishing areas, fitness center with state-of-the-art equipment, business center, and a private movie screening room with theater-style seating. From tennis, pickleball, volleyball, and basketball courts to billiards, ping pong, and air hockey, Lakeside offers an active, social, and relaxed lifestyle where there is always something to enjoy and a true sense of community to come home to.

12 months is our standard but we can accommodate shorter or longer for additional fees.

All adult occupants age 18 and older are required to complete an application. One applicant will begin the application and add any additional occupants. A $55 non-refundable application fee is required per adult. Once approved, the security deposit is $750.

For waitlist applications only, a $125 hold deposit is required to reserve your spot. This hold deposit is fully refundable if you decide to cancel for any reason and will be applied toward the $750 security deposit at move-in if you proceed.

Up to 3 pets per apartment are allowed, with no weight restrictions.

Non-Refundable Pet Fee: $300 – $500 per pet
Monthly Pet Rent: $30 – $50 per pet
Pet Screening Subscription: $30 per pet per year

Breed Restrictions: Pit Bulls (including American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers), and / or any like breeds or a mixed breed of those listed above.

Located at 200 Lake Club Court, Charlottesville, VA, Lakeside Apartments offers a prime location that blends peaceful lakeside living with unmatched everyday convenience. The community is directly next door to the Southside Shopping Center, which features Food Lion, a veterinary clinic, nail salon, restaurant options, and additional everyday services—making quick errands effortless.

Residents are also within walking distance (approximately 5–10 minutes) of Wegmans and the shops, coffee spots, and restaurants at 5th Street Station. Historic downtown Charlottesville is just about 5-10 minutes away, offering local dining, boutiques, live music, and entertainment. The community is conveniently located near the University of Virginia, approximately 10 minutes away, and Martha Jefferson Hospital, just around 10 minutes from home.
